Great cabinet for the money. Arrived undamaged and all parts were present. Sure there are better cabinets out there, but not for this price. The cabinet was easy to assemble, providing you take your time and follow the instructions. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the slat design on the doors. They are extremely flimsy and will break easily if mistreated. I personally wouldn't buy this for young children to store their shoes in. If the doors are not closed using the knobs, and instead are pushed closed by the slats, they will undoubtedly break. I'm not using this cabinet for shoes. Instead, I'm using it to store office supplies as well as a printer stand.Bought two of these to fit perfectly in the space I needed. Wished it was deeper but fits a good amount of things regardless. Easy set up however have a problem with the magnet to hold the door keeps falling out. And the door doesn’t shut flush without scraping against the top shelf. Not sure if I messed up on assembling or faulty measurements on product.Love this cabinet. Adds a much better look to my entry than my pile of shoes. Sturdy, great color. Only downside was the directions. It took three people way too long to build than it should have. Words in directions are still useful to most people. Plan ahead - it’s worth the time.I bought this to store some of my art supplies and it made the whole room look better. It's nice and sturdy with wide shelves to store larger items. Several of my guests have mentioned how much they like it, and the quality is well worth the price. I'm actually thinking about buying another.Product was just what I was looking for to organize my shoes. Looks great and a good deal for the price.Took a while to put together, but well worth the wait. The first one I bought at Wayfair but they no longer sold it there. It's nice because you don't have to put in all the shelves so we use the far right cabinet for tall shoes like work boots. Anyhoo, bought the second one because I needed a TV stand for the guest bedroom and since TVs are so light now this can hold it. And I didn't want something that would take up a lot of space the 14.5" depth is perfect because it does not overlap my air vent. And we're using the main cabinet for DVDs, granted you have to lay them down, but so what. And the far right cabinet we're keeping empty for guests as sort of a drawer.I order this shoe cabinet a few weeks ago and although shipping said I'm supposed to get it by April, I got it the very next day! The box was a bit damage when I received it but nothing inside was broken. The board feels like those cheap Walmart book shelf so it's pretty much like ply wood/cheap woods. The backing is thicker than the usual Walmart backings on their bookshelf so they do feel much more sturdier and on top of that, you get a few corner pieces to make the backing more secure although I do wish they give enough for every corner. The slats on the front is very thin so it makes it more vulnerable to breakage. It took me 1 1/2 hour to build this with the help of my toddler (he insisted), 7 year old, and very little help from hubby. The problem that I ran into was the top. I couldn't make it completly flat down on the left back side so there's a small gap there which isn't too noticeable if you don't see it.Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the shoe cabinet since I went through so many shoe rack that my kids had broken. I was so sick and tired of buying shoe rack so had them put their shoe in cardboard boxes at which makes it even more clutter. My house is small so I have very limited space so this shoe cabinet fits perfectly and does the trick. The shelves are removable so if you decide to store your boots, you can make room for it.UPDATE 4-18-2019 : So far the only problem that I'm having are the doors. I wished they would had put wood glue on it before they put those staples thingy to secure it more. The corner of the door open which the staple won't be holding it together so the slats will fall out of place. I'm currently putting wood glue on it as the corners opens and it seem to secure it better. I advise you to hammer those staples in if they pop out as it will cut you (happened to me). So far after putting wood glue on the corner that keeps popping off, it's more secure and haven't had it happen since. As for now, I just put wood glue on the bottom corner that just open up. I think I did read a review on this problem that someone else was having but didn't really know what he was talking about till I experience this.Update 4/18/2020:I finally decide to get another one. After my first one, using wood glue to glue the corner parts of the door, I haven't have any issue after that. With the 2nd one, I didn't have prime and it says won't be here till May 15. 3 days later, it's shipped and I got it yesterday. Super fast delivery which is incredible. The instruction takes time as there's no stickers on the board indicating what letter it is, however, what I found out is that some board have a red stamp of the letter on the side of the board.I have tried to love this piece. It looked fantastic when it was first built, goegeous really - exactly what I was wanting. However within 2 weeks, the slats in the doors were popping out if you so much as brushed against it. I’ve put them back in as much as possible, then they started snapping in half. Glue, tape - I’ve tried whatever I can to keep it functional. Now one door is missing half the slats, because the corner of the door has become separated. I’ve tried putting it back together but so far it won’t stay. It’s far more trouble than it’s worth. I’m sure I will come up with a fix for it - looks like one door off will probably win out unless I can get it off and figure a way to put it back in without it getting destroyed completely. This item is exactly as described. While the boards are particle board, the legs and knobs are solid wood, and all of the pieces fit together perfectly! All the holes were drilled in exactly the right places. I was able to put this together by myself in a couple of hours. The only thing is that the instructions could have been a little more clear. Step 2 is showing the top piece, which isn't clear. I had to read through the instructions a couple times before I realized it was the top and not the bottom. Other than that, it was very easy to put together! One great thing is that I have a niche at my back door, and this fits inside perfectly. (I did trim the legs before beginning just to ensure it wasn't too snug up and down, though.)I'm hoping this will keep the dog from chewing and hiding all the shoes.I read the reviews and was a little worried but it definitely is not as flimsy as I expected. Its not as sturdy as pottery barn but its not falling apart either. The back peice is pretty cheap but it doesn't matter for us since its being used as an entertainment unit and we will be making some holes in the back for wires. It also seems like the kind of material that you cant put anything wet on. I think it would scratch up and damage easily. The shelf spaces are tight so we only used every other shelf. It was a little hectic to put together but totally possible. It took me about an hour and a half. This unit is beautiful, but extremely difficult to assemble, nothing lined up, had to redo all the holes and glue most of the unit together. This was a 2 day project. Not worth the money I spentThis shoe cabinet looks great! The construction is fairly solid (with exception of the weak backing). Shoes lower than mid-tops are the only pairs that will fit, meaning this cabinet is generally no good for winter boots.
