It removes are 5-6 times faster than the little USB and battery powered pumps offered on Amazon. See the photos for a comparisonI conducted 2 experiments, seeing how long it took to suck 2 different sets of bags completely empty of air:1 minute - A medium sized bag with one flat pillow in it5 minutes - A jumbo sized bag with 1 flat pillow, one extra large king size puffy pillow, 2 king size sheets, and a medium sized blanky.Pros: Very fast, extremely powerful, removes all air from the bag.Cons, large, bulky, heavy, and requires a proprietary DC wall adapter to power it. However, it was still able to easily fit in the side pocket of my backpack which I traveled with it on multiple international airplanes packed like this, and had no problems. It just adds a little extra bulk and weight.--- Review of Black, Removable USB Cable powered ---This was tied at the 2nd fastest pump, but significantly smaller and slower at removing air than the large pump.Using the same experiment:5 minutes - A medium sized bag filled the same as above28 minutes - A jumbo sized bag filled the same as abovePros: Small, lightweight, removable USB cable allows you to use a shorter or longer cable as desired.Cons: Very slow at removing air, compared to the large pump.--- Review of White, Attached USB cable powered: ---This was tied at the 2nd fastest pump, the exact same size as the small black pump.Using the same experiment:5 minutes - A medium sized bag filled the same as above28 minutes - A jumbo sized bag filled the same as abovePros: Small, lightweight, non-removable USB cable (can't lose it).Cons: Very slow at removing air, compared to the large pump, non-removable USB cable (can't use a shorter cable, but can make it longer using a USB extension cable).--- Review of Black, Battery powered ---This was the same size as the other 2 small USB powered pumps. It was very, very slow at removing air. I didn't conduct the same test, because I gave up due to how slow it is. However, it was probably the same speed as the 2 USB powered cables I tested, now that I realize how slow they are as well. It was about the same. I may try the test again in the future if I decide I want a battery powered pump.Pros: Battery operated, can run while charging, small, lightweightCons: Very slow at removing air, battery will eventually die after a few years.------------------------Overall, I am keeping the large pump for use at home, and I may even bring it with me on traveling. I like the idea of using a lightweight, 5 times smaller pump... but I don't like the idea of it taking 5 times longer to pack.The main reason is that usually I need to pack in a hurry when I'm traveling, to catch a flight or taxi somewhere. If I have to vacuum seal 5 bags with the large pump, it would only take me 2.5 minutes per bag on average (using a mix of small, medium, large, and jumbo bags), which nets me just under 15 minutes to pack all my bags.That same load would take around 75 minutes to pack using the small USB or battery powered pumps... which makes me unlikely to use them in reality. The only place I could use it being useful is on an airplane, since I like to bring pillows and blankys in the cabin. I could then vacuum seal it before unboarding the plane and pack it back in my carry on.This wasn't possible with the large pump due to the fact that it has a wall mounted power adapter, and the plane only offers USB power, or the proprietary plane jacks. I just resorted to manually laying on my vacuum bags and forcing the air out when unboarding the plane, which worked well enough to stuff it by force back into my carry on. A little USB pump would help make this process much easier, though, Lol. I suppose I could bring one of the manual hand vacuum pumps on board, even though they take a long of physical stamina, they work pretty rapidly and effectively.So, I haven't decided if I'll keep any of the little ones yet. It would be either the black USB powered, because of the replaceable cable, or Black battery powered if I do. Although, the white USB powered pump was just as good, but there has to be some deciding factor.I hope this review helps you in your selection of a nice vacuum pump!!I really like this product, I was skeptical at first, I kinda thought the pump would be a joke. However I was surprised, I bought this along with their jumbo bags so I could take along my big king sized pillows and a couple of blankets and a couple of big beach towels.The jumbo bags were a bit cumbersome, each bag jumbo bag held two king sized pillows and a couple of beach towels, you definitely need an extra set of hands in order to dip the bag up.Once zipped up you connect the pump up plug it in and turn it on.I was really surprised at how compact the filled bags became, though it did take a while to vac all the air out, I didn’t time it and wish I had, but I would say it took between 10-15 mins to suck all the air out.But I will say this, I was disappointed in the construction of the bags, they are really noisy and crinkly but also seamed to be a bit flimsy, also you should be very careful about where you put them, they are really easy to puncture and not know it. My first use for each bag was great or so it seamed, they seamed to hold their compressed state, but somewhere along the line they got a couple of pinhole pricks after their first use and wouldn’t stay compressed after that, So be cautious. I don’t know if all storage bags are made of the same materials or not but this manufacture should look at some better stronger materials.Suction power is very good.Took my winter clothes out of closet, folded and filled storage bag to line, suctioned with my vacuum, now I can store them and know they will be clean and dust free when I open it in the winter. Will do the same with my summer stuff, freed up space in closet.Got this kit to keep my 3D filament in a vacuum bag with desiccant. Works great and pulls down to a crazy vacuum. It’s not super fast to pull down but will pull down a lot!I’ll never travel without this again. Like never! This is soooooo perfect and its compact enough to fit in carry on or personal item. Power chord a lil short but thats a trade off I don’t mind. SUPER duper fast! I was literally shocked. Best travel buy in a long time. I’ll never leave home without it.Easy to use.It was one of the best ideas my husband and I ever had. We were packing for a month-long trip and even expecting to stop and wash clothes, we still had a LOT of stuff. We bought these, hoping that the bags would be durable enough to last at least part of the journey and that the pump would, too, but we didn't have high hopes for either. I mean, after all, deflating and re-inflating the bags every day is a LOT of wear and tear on both. We even brought along a hand-powered pump in case it fizzled during the trip.Boy, were we delighted to be wrong!Both the bags and the pump lasted the whole trip -- that means the bags being deflated and opened every day and then re-vacuum sealed each morning when we packed up to leave. The plastic turned out to be very tough and durable, as well as the ring seals. That little pump is a workhorse. It's powerful enough to suck each bag flat and hard. We were able to fit so much more in each bag. My husband and I had each brought along a memory foam pillow and before you know it, each was flat and tiny and could fit inside our duffle bag!The only minor complaint we had was that the slider clips on top of each "zipper" slipped off the ends of the bags and could easily get lost. It was no big deal because we would just take a slider from another bag and close it, but it would be nice if the bags were designed in such a way that they didn't slip off the ends so easily.I have filled my walk-in closet to the point of no room for king or queen sized quilts.The pump is so small and easily assembled for plug into power. It would be convenient for traveling purposes to fit into a suitcase. Weighs perhaps 2 - 3 lbs.It took about 5 minutes to figure out how to put the pump together (hold onto the little white clip ...I lost the 1st before I quite understood how important it was to closing the bag).I'm really pleased with how it flattened my queen sized fluffy quilt in less than 5 minutes. And I'm thrilled because dust won't contaminate my clean laundry.This bag was 100 cm at its greatest length. This vacuum and the bags are perfect to put away seasonal clothing and save space in my tote bins. The bags are durable. It takes a few minutes for the air to get vacuumed out. The vacuum is good quality (so far).The storage bag is thick and has a good quality.
