I tried this with my three-year-old granddaughter and it made a huge difference in her sleep! She was waking several times a night and crying out, not really awake but maybe cold or uncomfortable. The first night I used it, she slept through the whole night! It's definitely heavier than a real blanket or comforter, but not so heavy that she wasn't able to kick it off at one point. It's big enough that I was able to lightly tuck the ends over the edges of her crib mattress. The cover is a little rough, but I haven't washed it yet so it will probably soften over time. I would definitely buy this again and might even give it as a gift to parents of older toddlers.
